Dear Fellow Faith Blogger…

Dear Fellow Faith Blogger,

You didn’t know it, but in my darkest hours, I turned to you for help. When I was desperate, you comforted me. When I felt completely alone, you assured me I have plenty of company. When I was too confused to know what to ask, you gave me The Answer I needed.

And then you welcomed me as one of your own when I clearly had no clue what I was doing. You held my hand, nurtured me, encouraged me, and then watched me grow.

Now it is so surreal to stand among you. I am an author! Yet, as my childhood dreams come true, I’m learning the truth about life as a faith writer.

Just as Jesus bled for us, we also bear our hearts on the page. And along with public vulnerability comes private insecurity.

“Who do you think you are? No one will read this junk!”

“You’re a mess! What makes you think you can help others?”

“They only Liked your post to be nice.”

Dear friends, please know these lies are manifestations of fear from a doomed adversary. The enemy knows we are a great threat, and he will do anything to stop us from spreading His message. Yet it’s almost comical – his only weapon is lies.

The enemy will do everything he can to stop us from blogging about Jesus… Click To Tweet

The Book of Revelations reveals the enemy was defeated by stories of God’s love because the angels would sacrifice their lives to share the Gospel. When these doubts haunt me, I see it for what it is: a desperate move from a defeated foe.

An open letter to faith bloggers

And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die (Rev 12:11 NLT)

My friends, your words have power to defeat the rage of Hell. This is why Jesus’ last request on Earth was to “teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20 NIV). The task comes with the most beautiful promise: I am with you to the very end. Isn’t this so like the loving Master we serve!

We each share our unique message in obedience, whether it’s encouraging believers, pointing readers to Jesus, inspiring writers to share their stories before it’s too late, or building an army trained to get more Jesus on the internet.

Regardless of your message, you change lives here on Earth and save souls for all eternity with your words. I am one of them.

I offer this letter as a small gift of gratitude and encouragement, along with a little something I made just for you- a playlist of songs selected to encourage you to tell His story and walk in your purpose. I pray it encourages you as much as it does me. YouTube Playlist – For my fellow Faith Writers

With all love to my Sisters in Faith,
